Become a member! Join the Wappingers Historical Society today. We are an active, thriving organization which holds special events for members throughout the year. Such activities are the Potluck Picnic in July, the Ice Cream Social in August and the Holiday Party in December. Members are free at all speaker events and receive a 10% discount in our
Gift Shop. Members will receive the quarterly publication of The Homestead Chronicle, our newsletter. We encourage members, as well as non-members, to volunteer as docents or greeters with our tours of the Homestead, writers or researchers for the newsletter, archivists, or helpers at our events. No special skills are needed, just the desire to become part of this growing organization. Join today and join the fun!

We greatly cherish the time that our volunteers give to the society based on their love of the history of our area. If you would like to join in, please click on the Learn More button below and you can register to become one of our volunteers. Everyone is welcome; you do not need to be a member of the Historical Society to volunteer.
Our volunteers not only enjoy the historical work that needs to be done; it is a fun way to meet and interact with a great group of like-minded neighbors who become good friends along the way, working for a common goal.
