VIRTUAL THIS YEAR: Sinterklaas Day and Dutch Holiday Traditions Children's Program

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the our in-person Sinterklaas program scheduled for December 5th is cancelled for this year.  You can still discover all about Sinterklaas, Dutch holiday treats and traditions and enjoy a Sinterklaas storytime for the kids in our virtual program: https://www.wappingershistoricalsociety.org/sinterklaas

In our virtual program, learn about the history of Sinterklaas and the holiday traditions that the early Dutch settlers brought with them to New Netherland.  You'll discover how Sinterklaasavond (St. Nicholas eve) is celebrated in the home,  share in a holiday story,  and learn about some of the traditional Dutch sweets which are part of the festivities.
