Kids, bring your family to this fun, family-oriented event!
At this fun family event you’ll discover the history of Sinterklaas and learn about the holiday traditions that the early Dutch settlers brought with them to New Netherland. Learn how Sinterklaasavond (St. Nicholas eve) was celebrated in the home, and taste some of the tradition Dutch sweets which were part of the festivities. There will even be a surprise visit by a special guest - St. Nicholas himself!
The program takes place at 1:00pm, 2:15pm and 3:30pm, Â and is designed especially for children. The ideal age group is elementary school age, but all ages are welcome. Due to limited space at the Homestead, advanced purchase is strongly suggested; walk-ins accepted if space allows. Â Once you purchase your tickets, you'll receive an email from us with more information and a request for the first names and ages of the children that will be accompanying you so that we can be fully ready to make this a thoroughly fun and festive event.
Activities for children are part of the program. Â This program is offered by volunteers from the Wappingers Historical Society. Â

This ticket is admission for ONE child and up to 2 accompanying adults for the 1pm program. Maximum 2 adults per family group with this ticket. Please purchase an ADULT ticket for any additional adults.
