About the event

Presented by Dani Masterson in collaboration with the Wappingers Historical Society.  In this popular living history tour, you’ll be guided through the Wappingers Rural Cemetery to meet some notable persons buried there and hear their stories. Costumed apparitions include: Daniel Ashworth, 1st Fire Chief of W.T. Garner Engine Company; Ephraim Tait, a mere lad of 11 years; Fred Churchill, Postmaster in Hughsonville; Sisters Maria & Johanna Mesier and the "Knocking Girl"; Peter Brower, Shoemaker and descendant of the Brower family, builders of the Mesier Homestead; Thomas Goring, bicyclist and businessman; among others.


Afternoon and evening tour times are 2:30, 3:15, 6:00, 6:45, 7:30 , and 8:00pm.   Rain date is Sunday, October 5th.  Each tour group size is limited. Youth ages 10 and above are welcome at the afternoon and 6:00pm tours; adults only for the after-dark tours…
